Just read the proposals... Should make for some interesting discussion..

After looking into rules for other hillclimb organizations, Im very surprised that NEHA is still allowing uncaged cars to race...

I don't recall specifics (especially when we had motions to vote on amendments to the amendments to the motion that called the vote to discuss the rule).

well, I know Mike Wilson is not happy, a rule was passed that any break out by more than 10 seconds is immediate disqualification(no more warning)..

Break out times remained the same as last year.

On any car requiring a roll cage, the driver must have flame retardent underwear at the least..

Thats pretty much the only rules that stood out to me.. Drinking started pretty early, and ended pretty late.. Had a great time..

Also rollbar padding now must be of the high impact type. And there was some clarification on fire ext. mounting.

Just around the helmet area... everywhere else you can use low density.

Question: Can nomex socks replace the need for driving shoes? I have a set of driving shoes I'm comfortable with so I'd rather change socks than shoes.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see that there is a fire retardent component for shoes in the neha rules.
1. CLOTHING
A. Shoes
1. No nylon.
2. No platform soles, high heels, open shoes, sandals.
B. Clothing
1. No nylon.
2. Long sleeves, long pants.
3. Fire-retardant outer clothing or underwear recommended.
BB. Clothing
1. Fire-retardant outer clothing or underwear.
2. Fire-retardant gloves.
3. Fire-retardant hood or helmet skirt in open-engine cars. Recommended
for all.

Good point. I don't why gloves would be required but shoes aren't. Maybe an oversight.
