Air bags in SP

Post by sachilles »

I don't see it in the rules, but wanted to clarify it before I go to far in the process. Must air bags be maintained in SP, even if a cage is installed?

I would'nt think so. You ARE planning the required 5+ point harnesses, correct?

That, and make you sick as hell from the explosive residue. Just a personal prejudice - the last thing I want happening in a wreck is a bomb goi'n off in my face.

Yes to the harness.
They aren't listed in the "may be removed" part of the street prepared rules. With many rule books, if it doesn't expressly say you can remove it, then you can't. So I thought I'd ask the question.

Thanks!

Yes you may defeat the air bag when using racing belts and a cage. Don Taylor
