NEHA Awards Dinner

Post by W.Vaillancourt »

We had a great time! It was really nice to see everyone again. That Hotel was awesome! We may go back again just because. Thanks to everyone involved!

I second that! Thanks to the Burdens for all the little extras-the toys on the table-the books lying around--and the auto trivia-great touch! I loved that hotel-hope we go back there again.

Oy Vey, good times in deed. ;)

Finally got to bed by 2AM. Meeting room closed down and went to bar; bar closed down (1.5 hours late) and went to lounge near bar; told we had to move along so front desk guy said we could drink in the lobby. Good times.

I'm very glad to see that the venue did not dissappoint. Claremont has needed something like this for a long time 8-) - particularly a hotel with class and style :D . And Auscutney is only a few miles away, for those desiring posh accomidations for a hillclimb 8-) .

Really nice Inn. If I need to stay near Claremont I will definitely be looking to the Common Man first for a place to stay.

The meeting, banquet and awards was really well done. Thanks Diane and Dave!

I wore the award T-shirt for the first time this week and washed it. Something like 3/4 of the silkscreen came off in the wash... :(

Took the usual precautions, turned inside out, cool wash and rinse, etc.

Anyone else have problems?

I have not worn mine yet, or washed it. I hope it doesn't totally fade the first time I wash it. Maybe we should have a recall

Hmmm.... well that isn't good. James warned me that he doesn't usually use (technical name for the white stuff) and it wouldn't last forever. The price was very good. Well, at least we will all have the same green shirts.

I would reccommend that we reach into that other account and replinish those shirts. When these young class champions get old like some of us, it is high sport to parade around in a shirt from yesterday and have the great grand kids ask about it.
My humble opion.

I can do one better... how about a spell checker on your browser? Instead of using Internet Explorer, download Firefox and use that for browsing the internet. I think you'll like it better than IE, though the look/feel/navigation is pretty much the same. This is what many people that I know use around here.
