feeler: want to rent a racecar for ascutney

Post by sciroccohp »

I don't seem to be able to find the time to finish my car by ascutney but I might that is why it is a feeler. I want to have a cage and a low buy out (2-3K) if I wreck it. The last thing I need is another car so I really don't want to buy one. let me know if anyone knows a car or would like a codriver. I can bring my own tires if it is a rabbit or the like. Thanks

IF you change your mind about a cage, contact Don Taylor as he has a rental (unsure if anyone has dibs on it).

as far as power, fwd, awd, don't really care as they would all be fun. the important thing is a low buy out and a cage ( I would kick myself if I got hurt in a car with no cage and have one sitting at home) . Rental price is important too. I don't mind CRX's either. I really want to get my car done but the time is ticking. if anyone wants to talk the email is david dot lavine at energizer dot com

David-too bad you didn't join in our fun a few years earlier. If we had 45 cars-40 of them were VWs. I often joked that I could show up with a hood off a Rabbit-and borrow enuff parts to build the rest.

If I can't fix my Rabbit and you can, you can use it at Ascutney for free.

that is an awesome offer but I don't seem to have the time to get to my garage 1 mile from my house, I would imagine that a few hundred would really slow me down!!Plus I really really hate electrical work and my understanding is you have an electrical problem. I was looking through my stuff and I actually have an electromotive ignition system if you wanted to test to see if yours was the problem.

Latest guess from an expert (no sarcasm... someone who actually works on this and sells the stuff) is that it is not the coils. He suggested looking at the battery or alternator. If it is that simple, I will be both very angry and extremely happy.

Any leads on a caged car? Jodi Doyle is selling his caged Scirocco on here.... might be an option.
