Okemo 2 and beer festival

Post by BugEyeRex »

Hi,
I know this is getting ahead of things but I may have some info about Okemo 2 that the organizers may want to consider. One of my beer salesman pointed out on Aug 7th that the Okemo resort was having a beer festival. I'm not sure where on their property, but it may be something to consider for safety and exposure. Info can be found herehttp://yourplaceinvermont.com/2nd-annua ... lenge.html

Too bad it's not at night...

"where on the property" will be crucial - not to mention where they intend to park cars. If the interface between events is not well planned, this could be a problem....
Could the organizers of the beer blast be contacted directly?

Chicken wings? My word, this could be my perfect weekend.
If my car isn't done by then, I'm going to shoot my cage builder.

The link says they are going to use a ticket/cupon system for beer and wings.

It does say it's at the Jackson Gore area which is different than what we use. Jackson gore is about a mile or so north of the base area we use. Just north of the intersection between 100 and 103.

That will be a long stumble back to the NEHA side of the hill.

This is a key point. Jackson Gore is not connected directly to the clock tower base are we use. We probably should do something to block off our "pits" entrance to discourage lost festival goers from using the pits as a turnaround - it gets dusty enough without having lots of random cars driving around. Maybe a line of traffic cones across the entrance that we move and replace as needed for staged cars and bring downs...
The older I get the better I was.
