FS: Tub II

Post by Rabbit Farmer »

Selling the Tub II (turbo Rabbit) as the turbo needs to be repaired along with the exhaust manifold. Car ran 100% perfect before the turbo moved on the greener pastures. (has a lot of shaft play... it didn't blow up)

1.8 liter 8V Rabbit engine with 170 psi across the board.
Ran 25-28 PSI boost
FK Rabbit transmission with 4.25 final and some sort of limited slip diff.

Engine with all wires, IC, IC piping, etc. complete for $350
Transmission with very sought after 4.25 final (4.25 is expensive!): $650

Entire car.... $1000

Engine is currently removed as I was trying to determine what was wrong with its performance... it is the turbo and it needs to be rebuilt.

Located in Vermont

New 22" tires (only 3 miles or less on them)

Non-stock control arms and strut towers. Non-stock rear end. Coil overs all around. New pads. Car is a blast to drive, especially at the hillclimbs (see videos below).

For an additional $150, I can include a NEW engine computer.

Race seat.

To get it running 100% and to the hills? Turbo and exhaust manifold, put it back together, have fun!

Little track event where the turbo crapped out....

actually what is the rim and tire info? 13 x? with ? backspace and what is the compound on the tires?
also the shifter, any close ups of how it works, wondering if it would help my linkage problems to simplify it.

13x8 or 10... I forget. Cantilever side wall tires. Shifter is essentially the stock setup, but it has a universal to get the angle right for the heightened shift lever.

Not interested in fixing it. I believe I have it sold. I posted in another post (Okemo) that the new owner might not be interested in the rims and tires. I can check with him. The tires are new (4 miles on them or less). Rims are 13" / 4x100.
