Harness bar collars

Anyone know where one might be able to find 1 3/4" collars for my harness bar to keep my harness in place? I have not been able to find any on the web.

One of these days, we'll turn around, and find out that Earth has been bought out by McMaster-Carr. The entire world will be controlled from a huge, anonymous warehouse in NJ. Everything will work and be on time. Like the old JC Whitney catalog, there will be no brands.

A few of the harness manufacturers recommend use of short lengths of roll-bar padding, held in place with zip-ties to act as collars.

In this case you would use a center "collar" as wide as needed to space the shoulder harnesses apart correctly and 2 narrower ones (maybe 2" wide) to limit spread of the straps on the bar. The higher density padding would be best but even the softer stuff should work well enough.

Is using padding as collars acceptable for SCCA? Once I finish the car I want to have Don SCCA log book it.
