FS: 1.6 Liter VW Rabbit race engine
I was talking with my friend Jeff Johnson yesterday and he mentioned he wants to sell a motor built for him by Dick Shine. It is an early '80s Rabbit/Golf 1.6 Liter 8V that was built for IT and never used. It has an over bored (to 82mm he thinks), fully balanced bottom end and is a short stroke (77.4mm) that can rev to 9000 RPM all day. The head was worked to IT standards. I think he is looking for a fire sale kind of price. If you are interested contact me and I will give you his number.
The older I get the better I was.
