My wife, Jen, knows the Robert's Rules very well. We'll need to get her to speak up next time. :~)

Oh, by the way...the Robert's Rules state that a tie vote fails. It should not be revoted/recounted. Only a simple majority passes, nothing else.

Just sayin' :D

Very good point. I did know that walking into the meeting, but for some reason the "tie" equaled a recount for me. Unsure why.

Probably because that is the way we have done it in the past. In fact I remember having two recounts on a vote because we also got a tie on the first recount.

So pretty much we have been doing in wrong. Majority = pass, Tie does not equal majority, therefore, tie = fail. We'll get it right next year. KSCC is hosting.

I forgot to announce the awards on the forums....

Spirit of Hillclimb went to Butch King; nominated by Smokey.
Over the years, Butch has been a great help to anyone who needed it. In my case, he arranged for me to acquire some brake components, at dealer's cost; was there to help with compressed air at the bottom of the hill at Philo, plus physical assistance with tire removal/installation, etc. I do know he has helped many other hillclimb participants at the hills.
Wheeling Award #1 went to Kevin Gale

Wheeling Award #2 went to Kiwi

Worker of the Year and Wezil were not issued.

I have rec'd confirmation from SCCNH that they have accepted the 2011 NEHA rules.

SCCV meets this Tuesday and KSCC meets on April 2nd (I think that is the correct date).
