Window Nets.... where to get one?

Post by Rabbit Farmer »

Here is what I ---think--- I want for the car based on some internet searching...

Mesh style - black
Round rod top and bottom
GM style bucket on top (figure I can drop it next to the seat when not needed)
And straps to my door X bar. (I saw this somewhere, but can't find it again)

Advice and input appreciated.

Best place to get setup? Like I said, I can't find the bottom mount straps anywhere....

Good link, thanks Seth. I think that was the image that I saw at one point and was looking for it again.

So, if I use this setup for the bottom and GM style button at the top, that might work.

My area of concern is how do I keep the net on the rod at the bottom of the net when it is loose (i.e. when opening/closing the net)? Perhaps it will just stay in there on its own?

My lower bar uses these to keep from slipping out of the mounting tabs but I bet they would also keep the netting from slipping off the bar... or maybe with the help of a flat washer between it and the net.

Not sure if this will help or not, as i don't have a picture.
On my mini, we actually had two buckle ends for the net to connect to. One for the up positon, and a second one lower on the cage to plug the net into when it was not in use. made it easy to grab. As you might remember, space was tight in there and it prevented it from getting stuck between the seats and the cage and/or the cage and the door. It kept it from flapping around if I was driving the car on the road without needing the net in place.
