How do you get a reserved number?
I would like to get my number as mine, I don't mind joining one of the clubs but which one then how do I get it. I would love to get some nice looking numbers and banish the duct tape for at least the hillclimbs.

Contact Kevin Gale. As official keeper of the numbers, he can tell you if what you want is available (the list on hillcimb.org hasnt been updated in a while) and assign it to you. I am sure he knows if there are any participation or club membership rules...I dont know of any.
The older I get the better I was.

Re: How do you get a reserved number?
Just send me the $125 'reserved number fee' and I will make sure to enter the nunmber of your choice, assuming it is not already on the reserved number list posted to the website, into the database. Or, if you would like to save $125.... (one in every crowd)
Anyway, if you show up at the events (plural) with a number that is not already being used, more than likely you will get that number. Sooner or later, Kevin will put it on the reserved number list (I'm unsure how/when it graduates to the list). Is the number you want currently on the reserved number list? If not, then you should be able to get it. We also added a rule for the 2009 season regarding retention of the number if you don't drive at the events.

Re: How do you get a reserved number?
If you know that you will be showing up for a while you can just request a number. The simpler way is to just show up and run the number you want at a few events. Usually after about three events I figure out that 1) You are going to keep showing up and 2) That you always use the same number.
At that point I add the number to the list.

Don't forget the $125. Tires don't count... beer does.

I'd take 26.0/13.0-15s in a nice soft compound.Rabbit Farmer wrote:Don't forget the $125. Tires don't count... beer does.
