new hillclimbers coming to Ascutney
Re: new hillclimbers coming to Ascutney
I put myself down as a new hillclimber. I did my first hillclimb at Philo last year. I have also been a worker for a few years. Kale's custom has built me a car and I am looking forward to using it at all the hillclimbs this season.

Hi everyone, Fabio here with the White MR2.
I'm planning on road-tripping to VT from PA again. Did OKEMO/2 last year for the first time, and met many of you.
Had a great time, so I'm coming back for more!
See you on an apex,

Re: new hillclimbers coming to Ascutney
I think I will be there before noon. If needed earlier to help, just post here (Dave/SCCNH) and I will see what I can do.

If you are a rookie to the hill I recommend you try to come early (around 12). Help set up the hill and you will get a good first look at it. You will also need to register, do rookie orientation and go thru tech. Try to get to tech as soon as you can after rookie orientation. If there is a problem that you need to correct it will be easier for you if its not already 8PM. I couldnt tell you how many first time cars have come in near dark and we found things like bad ball joints or missing fire extinguishers and then they had to find stores open late to buy parts or safety equipment.CANDALMAN wrote:What time friday will people be there???
Tech closes at dark - which for this event is probably going to be shortly after 8PM. If your car hasnt been thru a NEHA tech before I do not recommend you plan to arrive late and get it done on Saturday morning. You might miss part or all the day getting parts or fixing something.
The older I get the better I was.
