Is the novice hillclimb class scheduled for 4:00pm fri mandatory or will the novice orientation drive up scheduled 530-700 suffice?

The rookie class is not mandatory, but encouranged for first timers. The drive ups just give you some good tips on driving this hill and where all the nasty corners are. I'll have some handouts anyway, so if you miss the class Friday, come see me.

Dave,
NEHA General rules:
5.
notification of time + place for the MANDATORY new driver orientation shall be provided in the entry package.
Translating road racing to hillclimbing:
Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.

Right, IF it is mandatory, it must be included in the entry. Dave said it isn't mandatory, and it isn't included in the entry, so everything is good.
