Am I right in feeling like this series is more racecar oriented than street car oriented? Should I even bother to run with you guys?

Bring it up and race. You will be in SP 1. But you will be competing against the 3:20 breakout time because you do not have a complete cage. Bring a stop watch..

...Get a cage in that thing...

Ill try to track down a stop watch

This is my daily driver, so I didnt go for a full cage.

I like the just bring it and run it attitude though, thats really all I want.

Having seen you drive at cmc events, I'd wager you'll be able to hit the break out times before long.

On the performance side the car is prepped in the same ballpark as Kale's subie. Very impressive when I've seen it.

and to answer your question, yes you should try it, and you'll love it. You'll just want a cage at some point.
Just drive sanely, and you'll go home in one piece.

Yes you do for prepared.
You should be able to get into street prepared though.

That is the general attitude. I love the hillclimb atmosphere. Im sure you will too.

ps...There really is no point in entering prepared...at least until you remove hvac, windows, lights, ect..

I can't see the images from work, but if you could drive it on the street (general statement) AND you do not have race (non-DOT) tires, you would not be in Prepared (where cages and suits are mandatory).

You should run. Street Prepared would be your class - this is basically any streetable car that isnt stock. And your "cage" is really a reinforced rollbar - good, but to count as a cage it needs the stuff forward of the main bar - halo and A-pillar bars or or side hoops and windshield bar.

Dont worry about breakouts. A very few people show up and spank the hills right away but most get a sudden case of good sense after seeing what lines either side of a not too wide surface and they decide to slow a good bit below 100% so they have a car to drive back home.
The older I get the better I was.
