HUGE thanks to Nick (#832 Subbie) for telling me about some great (and simple!!!) video editing software from Div-X. I was finally able to create the Ascutney I 2009 video (my last run) and am now going back and doing some older videos that I had issues.

Steve, good driving + good video. Something that seemed quite forgien to me was how few times you need to shift. Seems alot more relaxed than my runs. Thinkin' I might need to take a lesson fron this...
Translating road racing to hillclimbing:
Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.

I wish I could shift more..... 2nd and 3rd only. One more gear would have made a world of difference... might as well throw AWD in there while you're at it. :D

Nick put together a side-by-side of our cars at Ascutney... pretty sweet. We both downshift at the same moment going into corner 13. I added some fluffy stuff (informational images) at the start of the video that Nick put together.

Youtube is still processing, but it should be ready soon......

I like that.
Looks like Steve gained the time at the top of the hill.
I would have thought the bumpiness up there would have been to Nick's advantage.

i backed off a little at the top of the hill. I wasnt sure how far the bumps were going to make the car jump in some of the corners so I coasted a little more. I know better now. There was also one left hand turn just after the right that you almost want to clip the sign with your mirror that I coasted through and steve stayed on the gas.

Great time. cant wait to do it again.

Steve yes I have the pictures. I will post them up tonight.
