Steve (or anyone really),

This is probably a dumb question, but is this event IN ADDITION to the Ascutney scheduled for September 14-16 on hillclimb.org or IN PLACE of the September Ascutney event? Thanks!

It is unrelated to anything NEHA.

Nice web site. Same weekend as the RNY tarmac event - "Rally Delaware". http://www.rallynewyork.net/rdel2012.html

Very excited to do the long course in August, registered and got a camp site. Wanted to do RNY, but have to make a appearance at a wedding that weekend in Mass. Gonna try to squeeze the wedding and hillclimb in, at least the wedding is close to I-91 in Mass.

Climb Ascutney started as a motorcycle event, but we feel that since it has been such an absolute blast to be able to run with KSCC and NEHA over the past few years, we should invite cars to run with us too!

That's really the spirit of it. :D

Bikes want access to run more hills, but anyone with a car that wants to come play with us is more than welcome... heck, we might even run some of our own cars for once.

There will be lots of new faces (bikes and cars) and we hope sincerely to have a lot of our current friends and family come along for the fun too!

http://climbascutney.com will have all the info you should need, but feel free to email/call me or Max any time.

See you at Okemo!!!

Entry list is growing quickly and there is quite a buzz developing with some very interesting change-ups amongst the competitors.
Big rumors a-plenty...

Let's see what I can stir up!

Fast guys on both sides of the car/bike classes swapping it up:

Sherman... on a bike?
Max... in a car? Maybe not such a stretch.
Joe... in a car?
The return of our friend, Mike Wilson!
A brand new 2013 Subaru BRZ
New competitors in cars and on bikes

Does this mean Sherman is riding a crotch rocket with a car engine?

Vincent Black Shadow-with an International 401-and a styrafoam seat. ;)
Its a gonna be a bunch of junk from various bikes I had kicking around. (just like my race car-but with less Chevette parts! ) I just got back from picking thru a buddies pile of vintage stuff for raw materials. The bike hadn't run in 7+ years-and it started 3rd kick!

BTW-is this a muffled event-or can I put on Mr. Megaphone? 8-)
Translating road racing to hillclimbing:
Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.
