No matter how much power you have, the corner will still be there...

Boy-theres a t-shirt/forum sig./mantra in that statement! 8-)

It would have to be real fast to impress me more that Bill Rutan going up Philo at night- around the rock (missed the one way sign)-with a large camper + 30 ft trailer! :o
Translating road racing to hillclimbing:
Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.

Ill put a tow hitch on my Challenger, then well see who can make it to the top first. I might want to get a race car first, its hard to race up the hill towing one when you don't have any to tow.

On their own trailer? Or everyone uses the same trailer for equity as well.

Don and I plan to utilize a different method of dealing with crashes and offs for this class...

It involves using one of these:

and a couple pairs of these:

The older I get the better I was.

Flat tow....eliminates the trailer.

Anyone goes off on the fam run in their regular car is forced to ride in the daewoo while its towed as punishment.

Yeah that was an impressive bit of driving. Bill's ToterHome wasn't small itself and with the trailer it couldn't have been easy. Bill said it was tricky. That means it isn't possible for mere mortals.

In the past we didn't reverse the road. I've gone around the rock turn several times in a 33' Bounder but never towing a 30' trailer behind it. I once had to work hard to convince the new ranger who stopped me at the bottom that I could in fact make it around the rock.

My friends and I have been discussing the possibility of racing up burke in a hill climb vehicle and then having a downhill mountain bike race down to the base lodge(bike park) via the trails: Upper J-bar and lower J-bar. Now THAT should be a new class.

Naturally, alcohol would be involved in the down hill section so that we can qualify for some of those Darwin awards.

Walter... perfect solution for those cars why off in the woods
