Hi folks,
I don't think it's a problem as written, but wanted to make sure.
I've entered Ascutney in SP3.
I could also co-drive for a friend in the rally class.
I realize I'd have the same limitations as somebody double driving, so I could be on the short end of the stick in terms of missing a run, but I'm ok with that.
There is nothing preventing a double entry, correct? Any other concerns?

I don't see a problem-of course you gotta pay for both...
With the long course, the run groups are gonna take a while to get thru-should be no problem getting ready.

Translating road racing to hillclimbing:
Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.

A friend that I've co-driven for, intends to come to Ascutney. I can always use the note calling practice.
Getting to see the course twice as much, is undoubtedly a perk.
He may end up doing it solo as a hillclimb entry as his vw doesn't need my fat self to add extra ballast.
As I understand it though, we'd both have to renew our rally licenses, and that does add an extra expense. It's worth it if I'll get another rally in this season, but if not, not so much.
Other downsides being that if my car breaks, I don't have the time during the other run group to fix it.
Nothing can quite match the magic of the Woo.

Well this is Ascutney. For reasons I don't understand it is often run with just the double drivers in the second group. So if there are just a couple double drivers you are expected to come down from the first group and change drivers in just a minute or two. It takes me about that long just to put on all the safety gear and strap in. And if you need to do anything to the car like adjust tire pressures forget it. At all the other hills this isn't a problem since the two run groups are about the same size.sdwarf36 wrote: With the long course, the run groups are gonna take a while to get thru-should be no problem getting ready.
