I swore I saw it somewhere but can't find it now. How many checkpoints does the long course end up having out of curiosity?

Y'all be careful with that "communist" talk, at least around the People's Republic of Vermont. Most of the fools who are calling anybody they don't like "Commies" or "Socialists" are devout Stalinists - Certainly all the Bushes are . Many of the more extreme - Cheney, Limbaugh, and the like - worshp at the altar of Dherzinsky and Beria.

While I agree with you completely, I'm sure Dave was poking fun at my liberal leanings (often VT centric) that I wear on my sleeve, proudly.
Dherzinsky and Beria don't come up often (any more, thankfully). I'm nominating you for the "Soviet history reference in normal conversation" award of the week. ;)

Just a little fuel for the campfire
There are folks around who think I'm a radical "Librul", 'cuz I have odd notions about the President - like the idea that showing up on time, sober, with one's trousers on, kind of matters.

Is it too early to ask how the camping will work this year? As usual (I think) it can't be done directly through the Parks site "Vumont Stayt Pahk"

I havent done it for a while since Don takes care of that for us but I think you need to call the park directly and mention you are with the hillclimb.

Ah indeed...call the state park reservation service at 1-888-409-7579 and have a map of the camp ground ready if you want to choose an available site
http://www.vtstateparks.com/pdfs/ascutney.pdf
If you call the park directly you'll only get a recording.
thanks

We won't be able to make it this coming weekend. I have two large sites reserved for fri, sat, sun night. Site 31 and 35. Can anyone use them?
