Great job keeping the line moving at Burke 1, I really appreciated the extra run or 2 your effort gave us. Doing the same at Burke 2 would be awesome.

Paul

PS I'm still looking for my FTD plaque from Sunday @ Burke 1. ;)

Just a heads up... If you are planning to come to Burke and will need a campsite, you should let me know sooner than later 8-)

Thanks,

Michele

For what it's worth, I may not be at Burke 2, due to medical issues - and if I am there, may not be portable. Hey, You - Outa My Swamp!

I'm thinking about running in the street class with a Sweet 07-Aveo and this would be a first time for me, Rookie.
I printed out the form and,
1- do I just pick a number not on the list?
2- is there anything I need to do other than what is in the Technical Regulations?
3- I have a question about the exhaust or what I'd like to do to repair it, is it with in the rules? (Is that for the Technical thread?)

Thanks, Evan

1-pick a number not on the list, but it's worth posting it here as the list on the website may be missing a number or two.
2-The tech regs explain what you need, basically car should be in good working order, you need and ABC fire ext with an all metal bracket, helmet must be SA2010 or newer, long sleeve shirt and long pants made of natural fiber(no nylon), ditto for the shoes. You need to attend the rookie orientation friday evening.
3-ask your exhaust question here or in the tech section, either is fine.

Ask away any other questions, its a good group of folks happy to help.

Other things of note if you haven't done a high speed event before. Tire pressure is important, bring a good tire gauge with you and a way to add air to your tires if needed. Stockish tires will want to have greater pressure than normal for this kind of stuff.
If it's not bolted down in the car, pull it out....that means radar detectors, loose change and so on.

We will accept current Snell (SA2010) and one back (SA2005) helmets. We dont accept helmets rated for motorcycles... M2010, DOT, Etc.

What time is the 'Rookie' meeting Friday?

My question about the Exhaust is. The catalytic-converter is in bad spot for damage and I think it's failing anyway, one of the reasons I got the car so cheap.
I'd like to move it down the line some and up, behind the oil pan instead of in-front. I was going to use an A/M converter hooked up with for and aft O2 sensors to keep the MIL off
and all that good stuff.
In the Regs it states I can use a 'cat back exhaust' so, as long as I keep the manifold stock can I move the cat? (The cat is currently attached to the manifold.)

Do canvas sneakers, like converse, pass?

I just purchased a Simpson helmet, Snell SA2010.

My number or what I would like to use is, #666.

I goofed on the helmet, I was thinking sa2005, my fingers didn't get the message.

Your exhaust should be fine.

I believe 666 is available. You'll want to add an X to the number, as I assume you don't have a roll cage. So 666X

Rookie meeting is around 6:30 I believe.
