Re: Break out times
My favorite years with hillclimbing was when we had (the old class) S4 filled with a lot of good talent and slower cars where we had a lot of back and forth.

I'm a little late to the discussion, but I think the rule is fine as it is. I think the club's responsibility should be to warn of the dangers and do what is reasonable to prevent injury. But the impetus of protecting a dumbass rookie in a 3000GT from himself shouldn't be on the club's shoulders, and it won't be the club's fault if he gets hurt. So although I think it's good to question the purpose and boundaries of the breakout rule, I personally believe the rule in some form should stand.

Re: Break out times
I've been dying to, but with moving to Chicago for school and all the stuff that goes with that whole thing, I just don't have enough time to be in Vermont long enough to do one. Plus, I can't (and wouldn't anyway) do one until I have a cage in the Miata, which I can't afford right now. Short answer, I would if I could (and if I'm allowed to).sachilles wrote:......the question is, will you be coming back to hillclimb?
