GRM NSX article
GRM NSX article
I was reading an article in the latest issue of Grassroots Motorsports about the 2017 Acura NSX. It states "The head of development is a New England Hillclimb Association record-holder," but didn't mention him by name.

Re: GRM NSX article
As a follow up. Does anyone know who this is? Do we have a list of the record holders and their records anywhere? If the article is incorrect, I'd be happy to let the author know. I have his email address as coincidentally I purchased a car from him a few months ago!

Translating road racing to hillclimbing:
Proper tire selection== nothing hooks up on moss or wet leaves.
Staying on the racing line==anything paved is considered good.

That was for 2015, wondering if he's the same guy for 2017?sdwarf36 wrote:A quick google found this:

Re: GRM NSX article
Ted Klaus is the head ov global development on the 2017 NSX project.

I found some evidence that he's been involved in PA hillclimbs (mostly reference to some sort of an off):
http://www.pahillclimb.org/phpBB/viewto ... f=3&t=1181
It looks like he has a record with them from 2002.

So ... maybe he has a hillclimb record, perhaps. As far as I could tell, he hasn't ever been to a hillclimb in New England though.

Re: GRM NSX article
As the holder of all information.... well, kinda.
I found this (not related to NEHA events):
http://www.hillclimb.org/events/other/2007_1.htm
I did not look through the results.... Kevin Gale would have the best way to get this information.

I sent Don Kennedy a message via facebook as he's actively with the PA hillclimb group, he might know what the deal is.

Re: GRM NSX article
I know the name Ted Claus from PHA. I don't know him personally and can't help at this point. I'll ask some questions.

Re: GRM NSX article
Ted Klaus Jr. is the guy in the article. His father, Ted Klaus Sr. is the guy who had the "off" several years ago.
I don't know if either one has ever run a NEHA hill, but they've both certainly entered PHA events.
